Community Outreach and Activities

2004- to date
Volunteer photographers for local breast cancer survivor calendar and non-profit organization Through Healing Eyes. Raised over $100,000 for local breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

1998- present
Mentor/internship program through Hickory City Schools and Catawaba County Schools. Each semester we have a high school student as intern.

1990-present
Photography judges for PTO Reflectiions contests and local school art contests.

2006
Visual Diary Workshop, the Hickory Museum of Art weekend workshop for adult and senior high school students.

2002- present
Hosts of mutltiple string quartet performances in our studio, local theatre “The Vagina Monologues” and “Dear George” Provided space for other artists including Dan Smith to exhibit work.
